Our mission is to connect women within STEM Majors at University of Texas Dallas and help students feel connected to the university, their major, and other women engineers. We will be planning workshops and events that will develop students professionally, socially, and mentally: we want happy, healthy, successful engineering students who know their dream job and how to go get it!

As a woman in STEM, it can often be difficult to find guidance and support in the tech community. Our freshman mentees have expressed their eagerness to connect and learn from our mentors. We hope our mentors are eager to share their experiences with incoming freshmen, helping their mentees persevere through the hardships and find a way to achieve their goals. Mentors will be able to develop friendships with their mentees, gain confidence in themselves, and grow as leaders. Our organization aims to provide mentors the opportunity to develop in public speaking, technical skills, and leadership through our professional development events, LIT Creations project competition, and social events.
Looking for an opportunity to create connections with other women in tech? Apply to be a mentee to have access to attend professional, personal, and academic development events and create lasting relationships with other women in tech. Mentees will also have the opporuntity to create an end-to-end technical project with the support of their mentors and the LIT officer team.
